Control Orders
Control Orders allow the UK government to place anybody who is suspected of any form of terrorist activity under house arrest. This can happen without any physical charges being made. This falls under the 2005 Prevention of Terrorism Act.

Control Orders can place a huge strain on families and can involve actions such as having to report to the local police force daily, along with restrictions on movements, which can extend to places of work, proximity to rail networks and airports.

Hoax Bomb Threats

Being accused or charged with making a hoax bomb threat can result from actions such as making comments to the cabin crew whilst onboard a plane or whilst inside an airport.

It doesn’t end there and can also incorporate other ‘hoax’ offences such as fake Anthrax threats. Although false these accusations can result in very harsh consequences. If you end up part of an investigation for committing a threat, you most certainly should seek legal advice.
